Call for Nominations for Directors of BankWAW
The Board of BankWAW calls for nominations for election as a Director of BankWAW at the 2026 Annual General Meeting. To support the Board’s required skills and experience requirements, nominations should only be submitted for persons who can demonstrate at least one of the primary functional competencies listed below.
In accordance with the Constitution, nominations must be supported by two shareholders. Nominations must be submitted on the prescribed forms included in the Nominee Information Pack, which is available from BankWAW on request by phone on (02) 6022 8422 or by email at [email protected].
Nominations must be lodged by 5.00pm on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.
Interested persons must be prepared to meet with the Board Executive and Remuneration Committee and be assessed by the Director Nominations Committee under the Board’s Fit & Proper Policy before they can become candidates for election and be included in the ballot.
The Board has identified the following primary functional competencies for this election cycle:
- Enterprise Risk Management - At least five years’ experience at Executive Management level in a dedicated enterprise risk management role.
- Accounting / Finance - At least five years’ experience at Senior Management level in public practice, audit or a commercial accounting role, together with a formal accounting qualification.
- Corporate Management – At least five years’ experience in an Executive Management position within a corporate organisation of similar size and complexity to BankWAW, such as an organisation with approximately 90 employees and regional distribution.
- ADI Executive Management or Board Experience - at least seven years’ experience at Executive Management level within an ADI, or five years’ experience on the Board of another ADI of a size, complexity and business mix comparable to BankWAW.

The AGM will be held on 18 November 2026, with formal notice issued in due course.
