Keeping your transactions safe online with Visa Secure
BankWAW employs various systems to ensure our customers accounts and transactions are as safe as possible. One way that we ensure your transactions are protected is the Visa Secure system. Visa Secure offers an extra layer of security for some online transactions.
For some online purchases, you may be directed to a “Payment Authentication” screen, this helps ensure that the person using your card is you, protecting you from fraud. You will receive a code via SMS, this code will be required to complete the transaction; once you enter the code the transaction will proceed.

What happens if I don't receive a code via SMS?
It’s important that BankWAW has your correct mobile phone number. If we don’t have the correct phone number, the transaction will not proceed. If you need to update your details, please call us on 1300 368 555.
How do I check if BankWAW has my mobile phone number?
You can check your contact details in Internet Banking.
Do I need to register for this service?
Visa Debit Card holders are automatically registered for this free service.
What happens when I am overseas and shopping online?
Get in touch with us before you head overseas and we can help you make sure online transactions will proceed when you’re overseas. Make sure to check with your phone provider to ensure you’re set up to receive SMS messages overseas.
