Our Community Referral Program is designed to help local clubs, associations and community groups access additional funding while supporting their members with competitive home loan solutions.
When a member of a participating community group settles an eligible home loan with us, their nominated club or organisation receives a financial contribution. It's a simple way to give back to the groups that make a difference in our region while securing the right home loan for your needs.
These contributions can be used to fund equipment, uniforms, facilities, community programs, events and future initiatives, helping local organisations continue to grow and thrive.
Community Contribution Rates
- $1,000 for each eligible settled home loan of $500,000 or more
- $500 for each eligible settled home loan between $150,000 and $499,999

How It Works
Join the Program
Complete the online application form/EOI and ensure you bank with us. If you are eligible, we will send you a referral agreement.
Sign an agreement
Eligiable organisations will sign a referral agreement and begin the partnership with BankWAW.
Spread the Word
Once the Referral Agreement and proof of banking are received, BankWAW will work with your organisation to establish a unique referral code for use in accordance with this Agreement and provide marketing materials to support promotion of the program.
Refer a Home Loan Customer
A member, supporter, volunteer or contact must quote your organisation's unique referral code when contacting BankWAW about a home loan. This code ensures the referral is attributed to your organisation. The borrower then deals directly with BankWAW and is not required to contact or provide information to your organisation.
Their Loan Settles
Our local lending team works directly with the customer through the home loan process.
Your Organisation Gets Rewarded
Once the eligible loan settles, BankWAW pays the referral contribution directly to your organisation

Does it cost our organisation anything to join?
No. There is no cost to participate in the BankWAW Community Referral Program. You must bank with BankWAW (personal and business accounts do not apply).
Who can we refer?
You can refer members, supporters, volunteers, employees, customers, families or anyone connected to your organisation who may be looking for a home loan.
What happens after we make a referral?
The BankWAW lending team takes care of the entire process and works directly with the customer.
When do we receive the referral contribution?
The referral contribution is paid once the eligible home loan has settled and all program conditions have been met.
