The WAW Community Fund collects funds for worthwhile local community causes and charities. The Fund is a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Previous recipients of the WAW Community Fund include local hospitals and health services, community events and schools.

Since January 2020, the WAW Community Fund has been collecting donations to contribute to the bushfire affected communities in the Upper Murray region.

The funds raised will be split between the Rotary Club of Corryong and the Lions Club of Corryong.

The Rotary Club of Corryong  has determined that the funds will support families who lost homes, buildings and property, to:

  • purchase and deliver shipping containers to properties who have lost sheds

  • purchasing text books for Year 12 students

  • buy food and other supplies, and to support BlazeAid

  • delivering water to areas such as Jingellic, Khancoban, Nariel and Lucyvale.

The Lions Club of Corryong provides cooked meals for impacted community members and now, BlazeAid workers.

The WAW Community Trust is pleased to offer our continued support for the bushfire affected communities in our region and looks forward to working with community organisations to deliver much needed on the ground support.
